A Solution for Iran
I just sent the following email to an Iranian consulate:
Within the last few days, I have seen a chart 30 years long of Israel's claims about how soon Iran could develop a nuclear weapon. Always 5 years, occasionally shorter. Iran's leader says nukes are immoral. UN and other sources say Iran is NOT abusing its power plants to make a bomb.
And then--the murders of 2 dozen Iranian leaders, mostly military and scientists. There was a counterstrike in Tel Aviv, not impressive and not going to resolve anything. You need a much more powerful counter-attack, and it must not be military. Military attacks on Israel result in way more damage to the attacker.
There are two sources of power. Chinese Chairman Mao said "All power grows out of the barrel of a gun." But actually, there is another power source and it wins when the two clash. The power of righteousness. Israel clearly started this, but that alone won't cut it as your winning argument. You need to grab the moral high ground in a very, VERY public way.
One element (pun intended) that will help is THORIUM, a fissile element on the periodic table. A thorium reactor was built at Oak Ridge Tennessee during the cold war, and dismissed as unsatisfactory. I suspect that the dissatisfaction was over the fact that thorium cannot be used to make a bomb, nor will it breed other elements that could. It cannot explode, not melt down as Chernobyl did. It is much more abundant than Uranium, hence cheaper. It is mostly untried, and even that fact provides an opportunity for the positive publicity you need. You can be a global hero by publicly developing the technology and sharing useful results with developing nations.
Another aspect of your Israel troubles is the fact that Iran has the second largest Jewish population in the Mideast. There are crypto-Jews, Muslim on the outside while secretly practicing Judaism. So all is not perfect, but you have treated your Jews far better than Israel's government has treated the Israelite descendants, Christian and Muslim, of those who chose Jesus in the first Christian century--called "Palestinians." You provide an alternative to Israel as a home for Jews, and I think they hate that. So become even better, and promote it all over the place. Make lots of Jewish ambassadors.
Thorium and Judaism together will make an emotionally powerful combination.
I saw a couple wonderful Iran documentaries. One was called "Beautiful Tehran." Please preserve my beautiful Tehran for me.
With love,
Esther Photina Cook

Very interesting thoughts! Makes sense, and You’re right about the first Christians in the first century Palestinians.
